I'm the Plaid Cymru councillor for Pontypridd and also Chairman of the Environmental Services Scrutiny Committee for Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council, the 2nd largest authority in Wales. Pontypridd is a market town 12 miles north of Cardiff in South Wales with a population of 50,000 people.

Pontypridd has a thriving shopping centre soon to be pedestrianised in the main street called Taff street, and a twice weekly market on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  Of interest to rugby fans the towns rugby team plays at Sardis Road and the Grogg Shop is located on the Broadway where famous rugby players are on show new and old.  The jewel in Pontypridd's crown is Ynysangharad park where families can relax in beautiful parkland with avenues of mature trees, flower gardens and other amenities such as miniature golf, tennis, paddling pools etc.

I'm also the chairman of the Upper Graigwen Neighbourhood Watch which in May 1999 won the South Wales Police award for the best Neighbourhood Watch in Rhondda Cynon Taff, and was also the first ever Neighbourhood Watch in the country to attain National Lottery funding towards the setting up of CCTV on the Graigwen estate.

I hold advice surgeries for my constituents on the first Saturday of every month at the Church House Upper Graigwen from 10.30-11.30am and from 11.35-12.35 at the Glamorgan Mission for the Deaf, Lanpark Road Lower Graigwen.  No appointments are necessary.
